By bending a little you activate most of your muscles and increase the chances to make a better kick. Bring back your kicking leg. In order to provide as much shooting angle to the dominant foot, you must bring your dominant foot closer to the ball by bending a little your non-kicking foot. Lock your ankle.
Some practical tips…tap some easy kicks into the net, untie and retie your shoelaces, do some light jogging, take deep/slow breaths, visualize the sweet spot on your foot hitting the sweet spot on the ball, etc. Avoid any thoughts and actions that build anxiety – which usually comes from focusing on things that are out of your control – weather, what other people are thinking, players, trying to block your kick, expectations of coaches, etc.
The Kicking Foot. Make sure you are making contact with the ball with your instep rather than straight on over the laces. Using the inside of your foot provides you with much more accuracy on your kicks. The Standing Foot. Your standing foot should not be behind or in front of the ball but just to the side of it.
1. Master The Controls. One thing the game does not tell you is that you can actually control the ball a little once it is airborne. That means you will still be able to save yourself if you happen to kick the ball towards obstacles. Swipe left or right to control the direction of the ball.
When awarded a goal kick, place the ball on the corner of the goal box on either side. Have one of your defenders take the kick allowing your keeper to stay closer to the goal. However, if you have a keeper who can kick well and is quick to get back into position, you could consider having them take the kick.
